Rambert Dance Archive visit - 10th January

A Level Dancers were privileged to visit the Rambert archive and spend an afternoon with company archivist Daniel Albon. The archive is a treasure trove of programmes, long lost works, perfectly preserved costumes and newspaper reviews of work from the early 1920's to present day.  As many students know Dance history is my favourite subject so I am always very excited about this trip.  The dancers discussed the company history so confidently and said that it was the best revision tool, it really was a masterclass with a world expert, which is exactly what we need to get our revision off to flying start! They felt that they got information that no other A Level student would know, great insight for the highest marks to be achieved! The students also got to tour the studios and get a sneak peek of the company rehearsing a new piece! We are so proud of our connections with the professional world here at LPGS and we are looking forward to visiting again next year - we hope you will join us too! Mrs White
